
Ren Kapur MBE
In 2013, Ren founded X-Forces Enterprise (XFE), the UK's leading organisation for enterprise and start-up skills in the wider military community. She has held a life-long passion for the Armed Forces and, in 2017, was appointed a Lt Col. In the Army Reserves. Ren has replicated the XFE blueprint to set up X-Emergency Services (XES), providing support to budding entrepreneurs within the ‘bluelight' community. XFE and XES have fostered the launch of thousands of start-ups.
Throughout her life Ren has run numerous businesses and has harnessed this experience to enable individuals and communities to support themselves through enterprise. In doing so she has brought together corporate, government, and charity stakeholders at the most senior levels.
2009: appointed National Champion for Business Administration and Finance by the Education Secretary 2016: awarded an MBE in the Queen’s 90th Birthday Honours List for service to Entrepreneurship 2018: appointed the first ever volunteer Armed Forces Champion by the Federation of Small Businesses 2020: appointed to the board of M3 Local Enterprise Partnership supporting local business growth for the region
Ren is a Visiting Fellow at the Lord Ashcroft International Business School, leading on enterprise learning. She is a member of the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Women in Enterprise
